'Red Dawn' Star Lea Thompson turns 51-Movie Remake to be Released This Year

Back in 1984 'Red Dawn' featured a cast of rising hot stars like Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, C. Thomas Howell and Charlie Sheen, Thompson was in good company as one of the rebel "Wolverines" she just celebrated her 51st birthday.  Before Lea Thompson rose to fame as Marty McFly's mom in the "Back to the Future" flicks, she was one of the teenagers facing off against evil Soviets in the classic "Red Dawn."
Since starring in the flick, her third major motion picture after "Jaws 3" and "All the Right Moves," Thompson has gone on to star in hit movies and TV shows -- including the "Future" flicks, "Caroline in the City" and current ABC Family show "Switched at Birth."
With a remake of "Red Dawn" coming later this year starring Chris Hemsworth, I wonder if it can even come close to being as good as the original.
