Obama-Clinton Presidential Ticket-Really?

Obama needs to stir the passions and enthusiasms of a Democratic base that’s been disillusioned with his cave-ins to regressive Republicans. Hillary Clinton on the ticket can do that.

Robert Reich
(The following is an excerpt from the 'Business Insider' article-scary thinking!)
QUOTE: The deal would also make Clinton the obvious Democratic presidential candidate in 2016 — offering the Democrats a shot at twelve (or more) years in the White House, something the Republicans had with Ronald Reagan and the first George Bush but which the Democrats haven’t had since FDR. Twelve years gives the party in power a chance to reshape the Supreme Court as well as put an indelible stamp on America.- UNQUOTE.
OK we conservatives know what we need to do -nothing but vote- the Democrats are gonna screw this up on their own.

Can an Agnostic Celebrate Christmas?

Agnosticism is the view that the truth value of certain claims—especially claims about the existence or non-existence of any deity, but also other religious and metaphysical claims—is unknown or unknowable.

Can an agnostic celebrate Christmas?
I do. Merry Christmas!

All I am sure of is that this was started 13.7 billion years ago; my God would be entity that set it in motion.
This is what I celebrate along with the brotherhood of man.
I just do it in my own way.

Iraq: Did we pull out too soon?

A wave of bombings that killed at least 72 people in Baghdad on Thursday provided further evidence of a deteriorating security situation just days after the last U.S. troops left Iraq.
Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney on Thursday attacked U.S. President Barack Obama for a "signature failure" to keep some troops in Iraq to prevent the country falling back into sectarian conflict.

Dictators and Terrorists: It has been a very bad year for them.

Who would have thought it?

Hosni Mubarak will fall from power -- and by midyear we'll see him in a cage, on trial in Cairo.
Moammar Gadhafi will face a NATO bombing campaign -- and then meet his end on the hood of a car outside Tripoli.
Osama bin Laden – living a short walk from a military garrison -- will be taken out by Navy Seals
And for good measure – the year's end will mark the end for Kim Jong Il.
Let us not forget about Anwar al-Awlaki, he bit the dust as well.

Kat's Transportation is the premier taxi company in Wilmington N.C.

Kat's Taxi is my employer and I'm proud to feature them here on my blog. We are the best known and most loved taxi company in Wilmington. We service every body's transportation needs from weddings, parties, tours,or just a trip to dinner and drinks, and emergencies like locking your keys in your car or delivering a last minute parcel in the middle of the night and/or on a holiday. The University of North Carolina Wilmington's college students are serviced and treated as well as the city counsel or the celebrities of Screen Gems. Everyone is important to us. This is something instilled into the fabric of our company by the founder and owner/driver; the late Shakil Rahim-bux.

Kat's Taxi is owned and operated by the Rahim-bux family and we are very lucky to have them as our employers. I've bossed and been bossed by a variety of people, none are as dedicated and caring for thier employees as Zahir and Naseer Rahim-bux.
Kat's Taxi and the college kids
The manager of Kat's Taxi is Tracie, if you know transportation in Wilmington then you know who she is by her first name. From the Chief of Police, or the dean of the campus, to the newest cab driver in town would know who she is simply by that name: "Tracie at Kat's"
She is the best at what she does and knows absolutely everything about the business. We couldn't be Kat's as it is now without her at the helm.
Tracie Crisante of Kat's Transportation
Tracie not only manages 5 dispatchers, 40 drivers, 30 vehicles and a mechanic's garage she also dispatches forty hours a week!

We want to thank each and every one of you for making us the best thier is!

Dr. Amy Mainzer, Nasa Scientist is the most beautiful geek I've ever observed.

I have watched Dr Mainzer on the Science Channel, the problem is that I can't tell you much about what subject she was discussing; I was too wrapped up in how damn cute she is!

Dr. Mainzer is a Research Scientist at JPL. After obtaining her B.S. in physics at Stanford, she took a year off after graduation to work at Lockheed Martin, where she worked on the Spitzer Space Telescope. She was the Principal Investigator of a cryogenic camera called the Pointing Calibration and Reference Sensor (PCRS), which serves as the fine guidance sensor for Spitzer. She worked on Spitzer during graduate school in astronomy at Caltech. After receiving her M.S. at Caltech, she finished her Ph.D. at UCLA with Dr. Ian McLean. For her thesis, she built the First Light Camera for SOFIA (FLITECAM) and observed brown dwarfs with it. She received her Ph.D. in 2003 just before Spitzer’s launch. The PCRS was the first camera to see light on Spitzer and has been operating since 2003. She joined the WISE team and JPL in 2003. As the WISE Deputy Project Scientist, she works to ensure that WISE will meet its science requirements. She is also the principal investigator of a project to enhance WISE’s ability to find new asteroids.

Canadarm: the Canadian Space Agency's contribution to the International Space Station.

This is a very cool piece of space technology. The Canadian Space Agency designed and built this amazing  crane/arm to remotely assemble the station.
The Canadarm

This is Astronaut C. Hetfield controlling the arm from inside the space station. It is inspiring to think that the station was mostly built  from the inside out. And you thought the Canadians were only good for brewing beer and designing snowsuits! The ISS could not be built and finished without them!

Heart Attack and Stent Surgery

Today, December the 13th  2011, marks the one year anniversary of my heart attack and  consequential stent procedure. Here is the video of how it works.
So, today I celebrate being 'one bonus year' older!

"Listen to me! Take care of yourself or you'll end up on borrowed time!"

American Muslims faced with religious bigotry

This story reflects on the overall ignorance of the common American. Here is a whole group of people faced with bigotry because of how they look , act,  and worship. What would Martin Luther King say about this sad state of things? I have had many Muslim friends over the years and I can tell you that this show does not necessarily reflect their overall view of life, faith, and their religion, but still it is a shame to be bundled and judged through fear and miss information. This is America and we can be whomever we please, their are extremists in all religions; don't judge millions of people on the actions of a few thousand. I have observed most Muslims to be good, motivated, pure, sincere, hard working, satisfied Americans. Dare I say that most people could benefit from emulating them.

Live The Difference (complete film)

(parental discretion is advised)
This film stars my friend Ronn. It is produced and directed by my former chess coach and mentor Mark Pifer. It was filmed here in Wilmington before Mark went back to California. I have an 'extra' part in the film. I think this is a funny, serious, and informative film about unexpected love ...among other things. This was filmed at Katt's taxi where I work, the cab cameos were all real, the landmarks are all real, and the personalities and emotions were all realistic and convincing.

For Herman Cain, the campaign for president is over

I liked Herman Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan, but his private issues have made it a moot subject. As a friend of mine recently said,"Where there is this much smoke there must be fire."

String Theory for Dummies- Michio Kaku

String theory is an attempt at the unification of the very large and the very small; coupling the laws of the Universe with the laws of atomics.
